After completing her Professional Degree at the Conservatori Mestre Tàrrega in her hometown of Castellón, Lucía pursued a Bachelor’s Degree at the Conservatori Liceu in Barcelona under the guidance of Corrado Bolsi, followed by a Master’s Degree in Performance at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) with Rudolf Koelman, one of the last pupils of Jascha Heifetz.
Throughout her studies, Lucía was supported by several prestigious scholarships and excellence awards, including those from the Güell Foundation, the Agustí Pedro i Pons Foundation, the Dávalos-Fletcher Foundation, and the ZHdK Patenschaft Scholarship.
Her orchestral experience includes performances with the JONC (National Youth Orchestra of Catalonia), the Mahler Chamber Orchestra Academy—where she performed under the direction of Philippe Herreweghe and composer Sir George Benjamin—the Biel Solothurn Symphony Orchestra, and most recently the Bern Symphony Orchestra, where she held an academy position during the 2024–25 season.
Chamber music also occupies an important place in her artistic development. She has worked with mentors from renowned ensembles such as the Quatuor Ysaÿe, the Carmina Quartet, the Quartetto Italiano, the Gerhard Quartet, and the Casals Quartet, and has participated in festivals including the Vic International String Quartet Academy (Catalonia), Musique à Flaine (France), and the Seeklang Festival (Switzerland).
In addition, she has attended masterclasses with distinguished musicians such as Daniel Sepec, Salvatore Accardo, Bartek Nizioł, Pavel Vernikov, and Svetlana Makarova.
Alongside her work as a violinist, Lucía explores the field of historically informed performance through academic research. She has published an article on Bach’s Allemanda for solo violin in the Austrian journal AN:klang.
Having completed her studies, she is currently active as a freelance violinist in Zurich, combining orchestral performance, teaching, and a variety of independent musical projects. She seeks to engage in initiatives that are personally meaningful, placing a strong emphasis on musical passion, creative freedom, authenticity, and a positive contribution to society.
