Bio

Lucía completed her Bachelor’s degree at the Conservatori Liceu in Barcelona with Prof. Corrado Bolsi, and went on to earn a Master’s in Classical Performance at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) with Prof. Rudolf Koelman.

Her orchestral experience includes the JONC (Youth Orchestra of Catalonia), the Mahler Chamber Orchestra Academy—where she performed under conductor Philippe Herreweghe and composer Sir George Benjamin—, the Biel-Solothurn Symphony Orchestra, and most recently the Bern Symphony Orchestra as an academist during the 2024-25 season.

Chamber music plays a central role in her career. Guided by ensembles such as the Quatuor Ysaÿe, Carmina Quartet, Quartetto Italiano, Quartet Gerhard, and Quartet Casals, she has participated in festivals including the International Quartet Academy in Vic (Barcelona) and Musique à Flaine in France.

She has also refined her playing through masterclasses with renowned musicians including Daniel Sepec, Salvatore Accardo, Pavel Vernikov, Bartek Niziol, and Svetlana Makarova.

Alongside her work as a violinist, Lucía explores the research field of historically informed performance, as well as the viola, which she studied with Prof. Wendy Enderle-Champney at ZHdK.

Lucía is based in Zurich, where she combines performing in orchestra, teaching, and exploring new musical projects.
